Safety is First with the New 2016 Kia Forte

Accidents can happen any time while you’re on the road, which means that the car you pick should be able to protect you where it counts. In a collision, a car should help minimize injury of both the driver and the passengers. Like other models on Kia’s new lineup, safety is always first with the 2016 Forte. Here are some of its most notable safety features.

Safety Seatbelts

Seatbelts save lives and the 2016 Kia Forte takes it up a notch. Both the front and rear seats are equipped with standard 3-point seatbelts so every passenger is protected. It doesn’t stop there though because the front seat belts have pretensioners designed to tighten on impact. This helps protect the driver and front seat passengers who are most at risk during collisions.

More Airbags

In addition to the standard driver and passenger seat airbags, the 2016 Kia Forte’s advanced air bag system also features dual front and front-seat mounted side airbags. The backseat passengers’ area is also covered with the additional full-length side curtain air bags that deploys in the event of certain collisions.

Child Safety

If you are driving with kids in the car, you can rest knowing that they’ll be just as safe. With the Fote’s Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH) system, you can tether your kid’s child seat to either end of the rear seat. Provided that the child seats you use are compatible, it should be no trouble at all.
